In August of 2010, Raymond and I, (Hope) moved from California to South Carolina to begin his Doctoral Studies in Choral Conducting at University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina. In 2013 Raymond’s preparation for his Doctoral Recital and Thesis took us to a tiny town in Virginia called Singers Glen in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. We both loved Virginia so much that we moved to Virginia from South Carolina. We had no plans whatsoever to return to California.
However, God had other plans and began to slowly speak to us over the years about returning to California to be closer to family. In August 2020 we returned to California, ten years to the day that we set foot in South Carolina.
Within the first year, it became very evident as to why God had called us back. In February of 2021 I was hospitalized for three weeks with a severe case of Covid, resulting in "long term covid" and COPD. Four months later I would lose my brother in a sudden motorcycle accident. Two months after that our second oldest son, John, would die very unexpectedly. During each of these times it was a Great Blessing to be back in California with family surrounding us and we understood why we had been called back.
It was during these times that Raymond and I began to attend a Bible Study at my sister’s house on Prophecy and the End Times. Raymond and our brother-in-law Scott began to fellowship and have breakfast together on Friday mornings.
It was during one of those meetings that Scott would bring up a question to Raymond. “Why don’t you put the End Times set to Music?” Thus the seed was planted and the project over the next three years began to grow. Over the next two years Raymond would invest most of his time off to work on the project. At the beginning, Raymond and Scott would meet to discuss ideas and progress.
The Musical would consist of one Primary thing: Scripture. It would be according to the strict Biblical account in Revelation and other Biblical Prophetic passages. It would consist of original Choral and Orchestral music written by Raymond, with a narrator plus a Readers Theater of Scripture passages. There would be mimes and audience participation. It took over two years to write. At that point it needed to be represented with a name. And after months of prayer and brainstorming, Behold He Comes became the evident name.
The next year began revisions, editing, submitting a 501(c)(3), a Board, and preparing for production. We began rehearsals with a small group of 7-9 faithful people (Carol, Chris, Brian, Tom, Ginger, Jay, Boyd, Raymond, and me.) from Rise and other Churches in Visalia, California. As we began to rehearse it became evident there were more revisions that needed to be made along the way to make it more "user friendly." (Now, most people, at this point, would have already sent it off to an editor and publisher to make all of these revisions and print it.) However, we are a small group of about four Board Members and a Composer/Conductor with very limited resources. So, as Raymond and I finish the editing and revisions, one of our board members, Jay, faithfully prints the new sections off each week.
As it stands, at this moment we are recruiting amongst communities of Churches in the Visalia area. However, we are also praying for and seeking a Church and Christians that believe we are seeing the End Times being set up globally. IDEALLY, WE WOULD LOVE TO FIND A CHURCH WITH ALL THE MOVING COMPONENTS ALREADY IN PLACE TO SPONSOR AND PERFORM IT. This is God's Program, and He will open the doors as He sees fit and in His Time. In the New Testament, Matthew Chapter 24 and Mark 13, at the Olivet Discourse, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked about the "end of the age". Christ gave a list of things that would precede His return. One of the things was that the Jews would have to be a nation. In AD 70 (NOT CE), the Romans, under Titus, trampled Jerusalem and dispersed the Jews. They had not had a country since AD 70. On May 14, 1948, the United Nations voted to return Jerusalem to the Jews and in ONE DAY, the Jewish people became a Nation again. In Matthew 24 and Mark 13 one verse states that the generation that would see Israel's rebirth would not pass away till they would see His return. We are that "generation." We are that "season" where we are seeing the signs converge together. Although no one knows the exact time and date, not even Christ Himself, ONLY God the Father does, We as "Christ's Believers" must wake up and see the "season we are in." It is our direct mandate from Christ to be making Disciples as we go. Matthew 28:19,20.
We are convinced that the world is being set up for a one-world government that will be controlled by the antichrist and are actively committed to looking for the Imminent return of Christ for His Church in the air (evermore to be with Him), God's reign of wrath on earth, the Lord’s call and salvation to Israel in the Tribulation, the Second Coming of Christ to Earth on a White Horse (with "King of Kings” and “Lord of Lords" written on His Thigh) followed by the Saints on White Horses, the judgment of those that do not believe, the Millennial Years where we Reign with Christ on the Earth, Satan loosed from the Abyss to deceive those at the End of the Millennium, Satan and his followers to be thrown into the pit of Hell for Eternity, and finally, the Eternal State with the Godhead in the New Jerusalem.
